G20 Assembly 2023

The G20 Summit will be held on 9-10 September 2023 at Delhi. In this regard, the school conducted an
Assembly programme involving students of class 9 & 10 on June 12, 2023 to spread awareness among the
student community.
The students spoke about the history of the organization and its purpose in building a collaboration among
member nations in the areas of trade, climate change, sustainable development, health, agriculture, energy,
environment and anti-corruption. The logo for the summit this year was released by the Principal, Mrs.
Harshida Harikumar, and the Vice-principal, Ms. Suzie Pinto. The design of the logo and its significance was explained
to the students. The member nations were introduced with flags of the nations. The role that India will play
during the course of the summit as the Presidency of the G20, was highlighted by a senior teacher, Ms.
Preetha Nair. The cultural programme included a sanskrit song, ‘Maithreem Bhajata’, was sung by the
school choir accompanied by the teachers, promoting the message of peace and harmony in the world.
Unnathi of class 10 spoke on the topic, ‘Cultural Unity of India: An Example for a Unified World’. The
assembly concluded with the vote of thanks and the national anthem.
